This is John Hong from Integrate Shipping Limited who is a China based freight forwarder with offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Qingdao providing full range of cargo services.
90% of Chinese freight forwarder are locally strong at ocean maybe also air cargo services, who always place 2nd even 3rd hand booking to other Class A freight forwarders, all Taiwanese/HongKong forwarders are doing the same cause they are not so clear than local people. With over 12 history and offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Beijing, we are remain struggling range of air, ocean, project cargo services cover whole China, ISL focus on customs brokerage, trading assistance, and project cargo services. We handled 200 construction cranes during 2007-2008 to Middle East and Africa.
Joined with project operation/handling companies, consultant, designing company, insurance, survey, repairing company, we handled environment protection project for several power plant chimneys for client even like Mecerdes Bens, Mazda Motor. We also represent for some oversea buyers who has been being kept update to the development of their goods. We pay local supplier in advance for sample goods. Make groupage of goods from different regions. Check background of suppliers, make cargo inspection by taking photos anyway, claim for bad quality cargo supply…etc. We are local and professional, even with an office in China, pay that much at employment/training/traveling, outcome for buyer is not ideal as working with us. It’s easy to be a freight forwarder in China if somebody has special relationship with senior manager of shipping lines, it’s so hard to be a logistics, combined services provider here. There are different needs from different client, you need to keep in services as wide as possible, so you need to work with partner who is a expert same as you. The Office of Trade Logistics, Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, is now launching the Logistics Model Awards 2009, which is the 3rd event of its kind, to provoke awareness of logistics and supply chain development among local manufacturers, exporters, logistics service providers and the public. The activity is carried out to comply with the government’s policy in enhancing the efficiency of logistics and supply chain operation in Thailand. The contest is classified into 6 categories Manufacturers/Exporters (Logistics Users)
* Logistics Management for the Exports of Food and Agricultural Products
i.e. cereal products (rice, corn), perishable goods (fruits and vegetables, flowers) and other products (frozen food, processed food, etc).
* Logistics Management for the Exports of Industrial Products
(i.e. electronics, automobile and spare parts, fashion goods)
* Logistics Management for Small Business Exports
(i.e. processed food, furniture and home decorating products)
Logistics Service Providers
* Logistics Management for Integrated Logistics Service Provider
* Logistics Management for International Freight Transport Service Provider
* Logistics Management for Freight Forwarder/Freight Transport Agency
The criterion of judgment is based on main Key Performance Index (KPI) for logistics management including cost reduction, time, convenience, safety, reliability, competency, knowledge management and good governance
